I am very excited about starting this blog; I have wanted to do this for some time. My book, my story and journey - To Mourn the Living - is written about a time when my life and the life of my family came crashing in. To Mourn the Living - is not only the story of betrayal by a trusted family member and the devastation that it caused, but the fight to set ourselves free from pain, hatred, revenge and, most of all, to learn to forgive and to find a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I feel so many journeys out there and so many stories need to be told. Each of us has "a story" and each story is very painful. It is our story; it belongs to us and is deeply rooted into our being and has made us who we are or who we are becoming. My hope, my prayer is that by sharing my journey with you it will encourage you to share yours. I truly believe that by expressing our pain in words, either on paper or out loud helps us heal.
Gardening is a passion and would love from time to time to show pictures and hear about your gardens.
I especially love flower gardening. This creation God has given us is so awesome, showing us so much beauty especially in times of ugliness. Cultivating a garden teaches us so much about life. Like flowers people need to be cultivated, nourished, encouraged and cared for. That is why I named my web site
Patricia's Blooms - A Site to Cultivate Healing
My husband, Jim and I owned a full service restaurant for almost twenty years, after that I worked cooking in our daughters coffee shop for another five years. Both my husband and I love to cook; actually Jim does most of the cooking now. As a matter of fact our three children are all fantastic cooks; our son and his daughter are chefs. From time to time for fun we can share recipes.
I love putting my thoughts down on paper, for me it started as a healing process. I am not a grammar teacher and if the truth be known punctuation and sentence structure is something that has never been very important to me. I pray you will be forgiving when it comes to those errors.
I want to share also with you times and thoughts during the writing of To Mourn the Living, especially why I wrote it and how that purpose changed before it was finished.
I invite you to check out the rest of my sight and to leave your comments. Please come back. Send me an email and I will make you aware of new posts.
